Sorry 4 being that late sending that - but it was both a fotofinish in finding
funds and organizing the whole thing. All is now up and running:

The first Central European Cyber Liberties Conference [CECLC] will be held in
Vienna, Austria on October 25, 2002. The conference will connect civil rights
advocates with internet activists from all over Europe. We will meet in the
center of Vienna to sum up the collective loss of civil liberties in not more
than a year. CECLC's main themes of 2002 are the dangers of data retention
plans all over Europe -

Our main fundings are spent but what we can offer to GILC members is a few
rooms at a very special rate in the very nice hotel we all stay in

This offer is for GILCers only, the registration form has been online for
just a few hours, saturday afternoon.

There will be social events and technical presentations on Oct. 26 afternoon
If you want to do a short presentation, there is still space left for that.

In the evening the Austrian Big Brother Awards 2002 will be held with a
devastating follow-up party. All events are free entrance
